BloodSTOP iX was applied during a bilateral mastectomy for gynecomastia surgery. Hemostasis was achieved rapidly, averting the need for drain placement. With the appropriate hemorrhage control, and lack of need for collection drains to be place, patient was discharged on same day of surgery. Normal post op management would have required drain placement and a 2-3 day hospital stay.
