Initially the patient had a retained baby tooth into adulthood that began to fail. The baby tooth was extracted and replaced with an implant and carrier assembly. Bone levels were at the top of the implant. The baby tooth left a wide defect in the soft tissue and the bone. The defect was filled with bone graft material and a metal “tissue former”. Soft tissue gaps surrounding the implant remained and BloodSTOP iX was used to fill the gaps.
BloodSTOP iX was successful in achieving hemostasis in soft tissue wounds in the gums.
